Description
A longhorn Dartmoor cow (or might be a bull!) sitting by the roadside on the Dartmoor National Park, Devon, England UK. Seen near Grimspound. ....
The cattle, sheep and ponies all have free roam grazing on the Moor, but all belong to the Dartmoor Hill Farmers. Care must be taken in driving on Dartmoor as these animals roam freely on and off the highway.......

Beautiful, great capture!...fv
Lesley Evered replied:
Thanks very much Michael...these roam freely in the Dartmoor National Park and this one was just sitting by the roadside. Thanks very much for the like and favourite too.
Adrienne Wilson
What a beautiful capture of this gorgeous long haired cow...bull. Looks like a wonderful place to roam and live. Beautiful colors. The red hair really pops against the green fern background.
Lesley Evered replied:
Thanks so much Adrienne for such lovely comments and you are so right....it is a wonderful place to be in....and not far off my own doorstep!
Rene Crystal
Such a great capture of this handsome (or beautiful) creature, Lesley. I certainly would give it all its time to pass if I came across it while driving on those roads! I do love that they roam free, too. This one is going into my favs!
Lesley Evered replied:
Thanks very much Rene - these cattle "own" the land hereabouts and everything gives way to them on the roads. I wouldn't mess with those horns either! Thanks so much for favouriting this one....most appreciated
Andrew Wilson
Those horns are impressive!
Lesley Evered replied:
Aren't they just! A clear signal to say, "don't mess with me!" Thanks very much for writing Andrew, most appreciated.
