The English Bluebells are at risk of being overtaken by the Spanish Bluebell which is more vigorous and not so delicate as the English one which is in danger of being out-competed by the other. If you decide to plant Bluebells please be sure to plant the English variety. These have delicate arching heads as against the upright Spanish ones.........
Common names for Hyacinthoides non-scripta include bluebell, common bluebell, English bluebell, British bluebell, wild hyacinth, wood bell, fairy flower and bell bottle. In Scotland, the term “bluebell” is used for the harebell, Campanula rotundifolia. (Wikipedia)........

I love the lavender flowers forest bed. Beautiful capture Lesley
Lesley Evered replied:
Very many thanks Ann......these are the English bluebells which are much more delicate and dainty than the thick upright Spanish ones which are trying to overtake these elegant ones. I hope they never do and there are acres of these traditional English ones at this particular wood
